Litecard connects Yotpo Loyalty & Referrals with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, giving customers persistent access to their loyalty points, VIP tier, member ID and rewards – without needing to download a retailer’s app.
Yotpo remains the loyalty engine and source of truth. Litecard becomes the customer-facing wallet layer.
The combination is particularly valuable for enterprise retailers operating ecommerce stores alongside multiple physical locations.
What does the Yotpo and Litecard integration do?
The integration allows retailers to:
- Issue a unique Apple Wallet or Google Wallet loyalty card to each member.
- Display Yotpo points and VIP tiers inside the wallet pass.
- Update wallet cards when Yotpo customer information changes.
- Identify loyalty members at physical stores using a barcode, QR code or member ID.
- Distribute unique wallet links through email, SMS, ecommerce accounts or signup forms.
- Notify customers when rewards are earned, available or approaching expiry.
- Connect online and physical-store loyalty journeys.
- Use different wallet designs for brands, regions, tiers or customer groups.
Yotpo’s Loyalty API can retrieve customer point balances, VIP-tier information, points expiry dates and referral details. Yotpo Customer Details API.

Litecard does not replace Yotpo. It makes the Yotpo loyalty experience more accessible and visible to customers.
Enterprise and multi-store experience
Litecard is used by enterprise retailers with substantial physical-store networks, including The Body Shop and Boardriders.
Boardriders operates major retail brands including:
- Roxy
- Billabong
- DC Shoes
- Quiksilver
Boardriders’ wider portfolio also includes RVCA, Element and Von Zipper. Boardriders brand portfolio.
These examples demonstrate Litecard’s ability to support complex retail environments involving multiple brands, store locations, customer journeys and wallet-pass designs. They are examples of retailers using Litecard and do not imply that every named retailer uses Yotpo.
How the integration works
1. A customer joins the loyalty program #
The customer can register through:
- A Yotpo loyalty page
- The retailer’s ecommerce website
- An embedded Litecard signup form
- A physical-store signup journey
- Shopify or another ecommerce platform
- An existing CRM or CDP form
The customer should be created or matched using a permanent customer ID.
For physical-store retailers, the recommended identifiers are:
- Yotpo customer ID
- Ecommerce customer ID
- POS account ID
- Email address as a secondary matching field
Yotpo supports a pos_account_id specifically for connecting customer records with a POS interface. Yotpo customer record API.
2. Litecard creates the wallet pass #
Litecard creates an individual pass linked to the customer’s Yotpo record.
Each customer receives:
- A unique Apple Wallet link
- A unique Google Wallet link
- A unique desktop QR code
- A Litecard card ID
- A barcode, QR code or member ID for store identification
The wallet pass can initially display:
- Customer name
- Member ID
- Points balance
- VIP tier
- Points expiry date
- Available reward count
- Referral link
- Online account link
- Nearest-store or store-locator link
3. Store the unique links against the customer #
The three customer-specific Litecard links should be written into the retailer’s CRM, CDP or ecommerce customer profile.
Recommended fields:
| Customer property | Example value |
| litecard_apple_link | Unique Apple Wallet URL |
| litecard_google_link | Unique Google Wallet URL |
| litecard_qr_image | Unique QR-code image URL |
| litecard_card_id | Litecard card identifier |
| loyalty_member_id | Shared Yotpo/POS identifier |
These properties can then be inserted into personalised email and SMS journeys.
Adding Litecard to the Yotpo welcome journey

The customer’s welcome email should contain:
- Add to Apple Wallet
- Save to Google Wallet
- A personal QR code for desktop users
The QR code should resolve to that customer’s wallet-download journey. It must not be a generic QR code shared between all members.
A recommended welcome-email structure is:
Welcome to Rewards
Your digital loyalty card is ready. Add it to your mobile wallet to view your points, tier and available rewards whenever you need them.
The buttons and QR image use the customer’s unique Litecard properties.
Litecard supports wallet-link delivery through platforms including Yotpo, Klaviyo, Salesforce and Dotdigital. Litecard CRM wallet guide.
Synchronising Yotpo points with Litecard
Yotpo’s customer endpoint can retrieve a customer record using:
- Customer ID
- Email address
- Phone number
- POS account ID
The response can include the customer’s point balance, VIP-tier objects, referral information, loyalty history and points_expire_at. Yotpo Customer Details API.
The integration maps these values to dynamic Litecard fields.
| Yotpo data | Litecard field |
| Customer ID | Member identifier |
| POS account ID | In-store identification code |
| Point balance | Points displayed on pass |
| VIP tier | Tier name and pass design |
| Points expiry date | Expiry field |
| Referral link | Wallet action button |
| Customer tags | Segmentation or template selection |
| Updated customer event | Pass-update trigger |
When the point balance changes, Litecard updates the existing wallet pass. The customer does not need to download another card.
Supporting physical-store transactions

Yotpo’s Orders API supports both online and offline orders. Its documented order fields include:
- channel_type
- Store address
- Store city and state
- Clerk name and employee ID
- Customer ID
- Order value
- Coupon codes
- Purchased items
The channel_type can distinguish online transactions from offline, brick-and-mortar purchases. Yotpo Create Order API.
A typical physical-store journey is:
- The customer presents their Litecard pass.
- Staff scan the barcode or enter the member ID.
- The POS retrieves the customer using the shared POS or loyalty identifier.
- The customer is attached to the transaction.
- The order is sent to Yotpo as an offline order.
- Yotpo applies the relevant earning campaigns.
- Litecard retrieves the updated balance.
- The wallet card updates.
- An optional wallet notification tells the customer that their rewards changed.
Scanner compatibility should always be tested across the retailer’s actual POS hardware. A visible member ID should remain available as a fallback.
Reward redemption
Yotpo should remain responsible for creating rewards, deducting points and maintaining the official loyalty history.
Yotpo provides an API for positive and negative point adjustments, including rewarding customers, refunding deducted points, redeeming points and removing incorrectly earned points. Yotpo Points Adjustment API.
Litecard can display:
- The current points balance
- Available reward count
- Reward expiry information
- Links to view or activate rewards
- A scannable redemption identifier
The actual redemption should be validated by Yotpo, the ecommerce platform or the POS—not trusted solely from a static value displayed on the pass.
VIP tier designs

Litecard can use separate templates for each Yotpo VIP tier.
For example:
| Yotpo tier | Litecard design |
| Member | Core branded pass |
| Silver | Silver-coloured tier design |
| Gold | Premium gold design |
| Platinum | Exclusive dark design |
| Invitation-only | Private VIP pass |
When the Yotpo tier changes, Litecard can update:
- Pass colour and artwork
- Tier name
- Member benefits
- Featured wallet actions
- Relevant offers
- Customer messaging
This makes progression visible without forcing the member to continually check a loyalty webpage.
Wallet notifications and revenue journeys
Litecard can trigger wallet notifications based on customer and loyalty events.

Recommended enterprise architecture
For a retailer with many stores or brands:
- Yotpo: loyalty engine and source of truth
- Litecard: Apple and Google Wallet layer
- POS: customer identification, purchase and redemption
- Ecommerce: online orders and customer accounts
- CRM/CDP: customer communication and segmentation
- Integration layer: identity mapping, API orchestration and monitoring
For multi-brand groups, Litecard can support separate pass templates and journeys while maintaining a common integration framework.
A Boardriders-style portfolio could therefore run different Roxy, Billabong, DC Shoes and Quiksilver wallet experiences without rebuilding the underlying architecture for every brand.
