Purpose: This document explains how to integrate Okendo’s customer events (e.g., review submissions, survey completions) with Litecard using webhooks to trigger mobile wallet pass actions like creation, updates, and push notifications.

Overview
This integration enables brands to reward and engage customers based on Okendo activities by triggering Litecard events in real-time via webhooks. Typical use cases include:
- Issuing a wallet voucher when a customer leaves a review.
- Adding loyalty points when a survey is completed.
- Sending push notifications for review-based promotions.
Instead of polling for changes, Litecard receives event payloads from Okendo instantly.
Platform Overview:
Okendo: Okendo is a customer marketing platform built for e-commerce brands. It helps retailers collect and showcase customer reviews, ratings, photos, and videos to build trust and drive conversions. Beyond reviews, Okendo also offers surveys, referrals, and loyalty tools, allowing brands to capture first-party data and deliver more personalised marketing. It integrates with major e-commerce platforms like Shopify and connects with tools such as Klaviyo, Gorgias, and others to enhance customer engagement and retention.
Litecard: Litecard is a mobile wallet loyalty platform that lets brands digitise their loyalty cards, vouchers, and offers directly into Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. It helps retailers and partners drive customer engagement with personalised updates, push notifications, and seamless in-store or online redemption, without the need for a mobile app.
Value Proposition of the Partnership:
Customer Review & Loyalty Synergy
Okendo specialises in customer reviews, ratings, UGC, and loyalty data. Pairing this with Litecard’s wallet passes would allow brands to reward verified reviewers with instant wallet-based perks (e.g., discounts, loyalty points, early access passes).
First-Party Data Activation
Litecard already helps brands capture CRM data through wallet downloads. Adding Okendo reviews and loyalty signals would enrich this dataset, giving brands more precise targeting for push notifications and wallet campaigns.
Higher Engagement Loops
Brands could close the loop by encouraging customers who leave reviews in Okendo to add a wallet pass for ongoing benefits, driving repeat visits and higher LTV.
Retail/E-commerce Alignment
Shopify merchants already using Okendo would benefit from Litecard’s Shopify PoS integration, ensuring that reviews + loyalty → wallet offers → in-store redemption happen seamlessly.
Monetization & ROI
Based on Litecard’s benchmarks with other integrations (+25% order volume, +93% revenue per wallet downloader), tying Okendo UGC + loyalty data into wallet experiences could show measurable lifts in conversion and retention.
Setup Guide:
- Brand signs up to Litecard and creates a template
- Brand works with Litecard to map Litecard fields onto Okendo fields
- Okendo webhooks need to be registered via API (Litecard does this with their Okendo API key, or instructions can be provided for a customer to do it themselves). This webhook is for card/member creation and points updates
- As long as Okendo is set up on their Shopify store, a customer will get a Litecard email when they sign up with a mobile wallet pass – or this can hook into an Email Service Provider (e.g. Klaviyo, Hubspot, Salesforce
- Existing users can be imported into Litecard, and an email can be distributed to existing customers
User Flow
- Customer signs up on the Okendo widget
- You will get an email with your mobile wallet pass in ~30-40 seconds (Okendo Integration will be replaced with the business name) > this email can also be sent from any CRM, CDP or ESP such as Klaviyo, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Netcore or Dotdigital.
- The customer will need to join the loyalty program by opting in via the Okendo prompts
- A logged-in customer purchases an item
- Points will be added to the Okendo profile, which can be seen in the Okendo portal
- These points will update on the mobile wallet in 1-2 minutes after the purchase
Integration Flow & Technical Setup Guide
- Customer Creation Event in Okendo – e.g., customer signs up for loyalty, earns points, uses points
- Okendo Webhook calls Litecard Endpoint – sends event data to a Litecard endpoint
- Litecard API Call – create/update wallet passes
- Customer Receives Wallet Pass/Update – instantly available in Apple/Google Wallet

Litecard Endpoint
You will need to register the Litecard Endpoint as a webhook subscription using Okendo’s create webhook subscription endpoint.
You will need to retrieve your User ID and API Key (Found in the Okendo portal under Settings > Integrations > Okendo)
You will need to provide these credentials to Litecard.
The Litecard endpoint to use as the webhook URL is this one here.
It follows this pattern /api/v1/external/callback/{provider}/{businessId}/{templateId}
Provider: in this case, is OKENDO (case sensitive)
businessId: can be provided by Litecard
templateId: the ID of the template that is used when producing the Litecard passes. You can create, view and edit the ID in the templates table in the Litecard Dashboard.
Receiving Okendo Events
Example Okendo webhook payload:
json
CopyEdit
{
“event”: “review_submitted”,
“timestamp”: “2025-08-14T12:34:56Z”,
“customer”: {
“email”: “jane.doe@example.com”,
“firstName”: “Jane”,
“lastName”: “Doe”
},
“review”: {
“productId”: “SKU-12345”,
“rating”: 5,
“comment”: “Loved this product!”
}
}
Showing Points and Offers Balances
Points balances and dynamic fields, such as voucher balances (or multiple balance types, e.g. voucher type #1 and voucher type #2), can be displayed in the mobile wallet pass and are set up from a template level. When creating a template, the business will need to create a dynamic field that gets updated with each webhook event.
If you have any issues, our customer success team can help you set up your customer journeys/templates.
In the create pass Template page, set up a points field with a dynamic value that is updated with each webhook event.
Example Notification Trigger
If you want to notify the customer about their reward:
Request:
http
CopyEdit
POST /api/v1/queue/notification
Payload:
json
CopyEdit
{
“cardIds”: [“card-id-1234”],
“notification”: {
“title”: “Thanks for your review!”,
“message”: “You’ve earned 50 points. Check your wallet pass.”,
“dataFieldKey”: “notificationKey”
},
“options”: {
“email”: false,
“pushNotification”: true
}
}
Security
- Only accept Okendo webhooks from their verified IP ranges.
- Store and secure your Litecard API keys.
- Use HTTPS for all endpoints.
Error Handling
- 2xx: Acknowledges event receipt.
- 4xx/5xx: Indicates failure; Litecard will retry delivery.
- Ensure responses are sent within 5 seconds to avoid retries.
Testing
- Use Litecard’s Demo API Environment:
Swagger UI: https://bff-api.demo.litecard.io/api/v1/swagger - Use Okendo’s test webhook tool to send sample events.
