Introduction
This is a guide on how to use and navigate the master / sub account business architecture within Litecard.
1. Master Account
Master Account: The top level account usually used by an agency, head office level or franchisee operator. You can also operate a master account and create sub business accounts for each campaign you launch or each region/zone your brand operates in.
The master account will allow you to view usage within each sub account
You can also create users from the master account as well as a login for that user too. e.g. if you wish to have your sub brand operate their own dashboard to view customer data, create customer journeys, send push notifications and schedule campaigns.
You can access sub accounts from your master dashboard and operate them as sub account users from the dashboard too (this setting can be turned off to preserve data integrity and usage compliance).
You can also manage and edit the sub accounts from the master account level. If you wish to delete them, you can do so via API or contact our support team at dev@litecard.com to delete this for you.
2. Sub Account (i.e. Business Account, or Sub-Business Account)
Sub Account: A business level account, you can call APIs from this level, as well as make a username and password for the sub business user to access. Each account has it’s own database and is associated to the master account that has created it.
In your sub account you can create customer journeys, edit how you see and gather customer information, design your mobile wallet pass experience and manage integrations.
If you are a single brand or single site brand that does not require multiple users, you will generally only have a sub account. Even retailers with 500+ stores using Litecard will sometimes only have a single business account.

Separate users for developer only (non dashboard) access can be created for an additional level of security when automating the creation and management of mobile wallet passes with Litecard.
